player_season_context.position
A game counts at a fielding position when he is in the field for the first pitch of any plate appearance, as P when he pitched, and as DH only when he was one of his club’s first nine batters and neither fielded nor pitched. Ties go to C, SS, 2B, CF, 3B, RF, LF, 1B, P, DH, in that order; a batter with no counted game reads DH.
