Batting
Runs above an average hitter from his wOBA, before the park.
Shown for: batter.
Formula
(His wOBA − league wOBA) / wOBA scale × the plate appearances wOBA divides by.
Our own model
Not checked against Savant. A season is written only when every check on the aWAR page passes.
Notes
League wOBA leaves out pitchers batting. The wOBA scale is fitted each season from that season’s run values.
Era caveats
aWAR begins in 2016
Savant’s fielding leaderboard begins in 2016, so 2015 has no aWAR and no part of it.
