Agreement with Savant
Checked weekly, for completed seasons only. Agreement tolerance: ±0.01 degrees, on pitchers with 150 or more pitches of a named type, where the 0.1° rounding of each recorded angle can’t move the mean that far. The pitch count behind it is compared exactly for every pitcher.

Era caveats
Arm angle begins in 2020
Statcast recorded no arm angle before 2020, so the column is empty for 2015–2019. It covers about three pitches in four in 2020 and over 96% from 2021 on; the average uses only the pitches that have one.
Version history
- 2026-09-27: Added to the Explorer. It matches Savant’s arm-angle leaderboard within 0.003° for every pitcher of 2021 and 2025. The arm angle on Savant’s player pages and custom leaderboard is a different figure that nothing tried here reproduces.
